Questions from the Webinar
- Can a patient make a payment without having an appointment booked?
Currently, patients need to either select an appointment slot or submit a Repeat Prescription Request (RRP) before making a payment. The ability to make ad hoc payments directly into Medtech Evolution is part of our product roadmap.
MMH already has Repeat Prescriptions on MMH that can be paid online. - Is adding online payments for appointments an additional cost
No. There is no additional cost to use online payments for appointments if your practice already uses online payments for Repeat Prescriptions. - Is there a specific merchant bank required, or can we use our current bank?
Windcave supports most major banks. We recommend checking with your bank or contacting Windcave at [email protected] to confirm compatibility. - If a patient has an outstanding debt, can they pay both the appointment fee and the outstanding amount at the same time?
This is not currently available, but the ability to make ad hoc payments is part of our product roadmap. - Can prepayment be required only for patients requesting a phone consultation?
Yes. Practices can configure payment requirements by appointment type. For example, a phone consultation can be configured as “Pay Online Only” through the Provider Portal settings.
